Though it was inspired by a Georgian woven Kashmir shawl, this wrap has a chic contemporary feel.
To make it you will need 5 contrasting shades of a soft laceweight yarn in the following amounts: Colour A: 755 metres/825 yards, Colour B: 630 metres/690 yards, Colour C: 200 metres/220 yards, Colour D: 100 metres/110 yards, Colour E: 45 metres/50 yards.
An icord beginning, icord selvedges and icord cast-off (bind-off), creates neat edges all around the wrap. The paisley motifs are worked in intarsia method.
Tension/gauge is 40 stitches and 48 rows per 10cm/4″. Suggested needle size is 2mm/US 0.
The pattern is also available in ‘A Time To Knit’ (see ‘Books’).
